The old garage of the house has been renovated and Ukiyo Coffee moved in three years ago. The former garage for Rietveld's car has been transformed into a calming and modern coffee bar, where the influences of Rietveld and Schröder can still be recognized. After your visit to the house you can enjoy the surroundings while you relax in the garage and the garden. The coffee bar is open during the opening hours of the Rietveld Schröder House, with the exception of Wednesdays and Saturdays.

Ukiyo Coffee

Ukiyo Coffee is all about the Japanese lifestyle that carries the same name: live in the moment and enjoy the little things.

Perhaps you have seen Ukiyo Coffee pass by with the coffee bike at the flower market or elsewhere in the city of Utrecht. Today it has a permanent place where you can enjoy freshly brewed slow coffee, made with locally roasted coffee beans, homemade delicacies and other specialty drinks.

Besides serving specialty coffee and tea, they also sell their own specialty coffee and teas and feature guest coffee roasters every moth with limited coffee bags to take home with you. Next to that, you'll find brewing equipment, books, De Stijl objects and a monthly art exhibition by various artist in Utrecht.
